Mostly Unnatural Addon Recolors of 4T2 Under you Spell Eyes

I originally made these for myself nearly 2 years ago after falling in love with whitepolar’s conversion of this eye set. Of course I ‘needed’ a few dozen more fantasy recolors since I play with colorful sims. The colors include the rest of Furbyq’s unnaturals, some of Iakoa’s eye colors, and a handful of ones I made up. All are geneticized at 2 since I figure that’s a good compromise between my personal use everything dominant and super recessive.

The next installment of the hood deco defaults finally exists after more off than on working on it for months. This batch is larger than the previous; the defaults are for: ancient henge, ancient Ruins, billboards, concrete breakwater, moai, some rocks, the rest of the signs, street banners, telephone poles, gate arch/flank, row of pilings, train track, and dino dig. As last time, metal is colored to almost-match criquette’s road signs, and either just mesh/texture defaults or more involved with custom txmt/txtr with default shpe/mesh and some thumbnail fixes. Some this time were renamed due to drastic changes between the vanilla and defaults. 

The train track is just an invisible mesh if anyone else wants to use cc tracks with just the train effect, probably not the most useful thing. The rock and sand peninsula had everything but the rock hacked off. It and the will stone replacement have a  choice of being slaved to the cliff rocks or BV beach rocks. There’s also a default of the 2 beach rocks to slave them to the cliff rocks instead since I’m anal about matching boulders (no change of the original texture for these two). The pennant string is my first mesh conversion. I don’t have TS3 so I converted this 3t4 version

Note that the ruins and henge meshes are 7.1k and 3.1k polys respectively, and the billboards are bit high res. The rest shouldn’t be anything computer-busting.

All files, compressed, included is a ‘’’’swatch’’’’ for almost everything this time since some defaults have nothing to do with the originals (like gates becoming public bathrooms).

IMO, the brick chimneys are ugly and a pain to retexture. While deleting the chimneys with moveobjects still allows the fireplaces to function overall, the jump bug when lighting them and no fireplace flames annoy the crap out of me. I defaulted the meshes for them (since some chimney textures are used for the fireplaces and default txtrs would mess them up too) and removed the smoke effect so deco chimneys can be used instead. The defaults for the not as ugly pipe chimneys are of questionable usefulness, and I haven’t seen any suitable deco ones for them, but I did them anyway. Three of the fireplaces (red ember, snugglems, ignito) also had their meshes shortened to not poke through the floor above them. A bit of a downside is the loss of  the chimney smoke effect when the fireplaces are lit although that doesn’t bother me for some unknown reason.

Since the buffet Shasta converted is one of the only buffets I like, I wanted some non-halloweeny recolors. The platters solid cloths are in a mishmash of ACYL and Aelia’s colors, and the handful of patterns are from Colourlovers with 3 having some tabletop thingies taken from ts2 objects.

All are files compressed with included previews and swatch.

I could’ve saved myself hours of time over the past several months , but no I had to nitpick the hood terrains to the point of making a set of them for my own use. Straight up dirt and concrete are useless for the hoods I make, so dirt is replaced with a mossy-ish terrain for my taiga hoods, and concrete is beachy sand. Lush and desert are more typical stuff. 

All of them have 512x512 in-lot textures with the rest being 1024x1024. I didn’t make a maxis road default to match these. I personally like Dreadpirate’s road defaults, but any ‘universal’ default would work with these (or if someone wants to make maxis roads with my terrains, that’s fine too). 

I also made matching terrain paints for most of the textures, 2 of which were previously made for the floating islands set. The only textures I left out are 3 of the ‘drydry’ textures for the lush terrain since they’re all very similar. I would’ve liked to make them more different, but Eaxis decided to make those tile instead of blend gradually into each other.

I got tired of looking at floating fire hydrants. They're defaults of the bus stop, construction horse, dumpster, fire hydrant, grate, intersection sign, manhole, parking sign, stoplight, stop signs, and traffic cones. Most of the replacement meshes are a few hundred polys or fewer. The stoplight and group of traffic cones are a bit higher, being in the 1k range. The majority of the metal is colored to almost-match criquette’s road signs. The bus stop, intersection, and stop signs are technically the only ones with texture defaults. The rest of the originals shared a single texture so they have custom txmt/txtr with the shpe defaulted to use them instead of the shared one. Several also have a cres default to fix thumbnail sizes.

All files, compressed, included is a ‘’’’swatch’’’’ for the defaults that have a choice of different texture options.

My 1st successful slotification project. I finished these a couple of months ago but never got around to uploading them. Stand has 6 slots, tier has 10 slots. I also moved them to surfaces/misc. These have the same GUIDs and different names than the original files, be sure to delete those if you have them. All files are compressed; and the Edwardian cake stand required for the cake tier’s metal parts is included.

I’m a sucker for fantasy stuff. I loved the idea of floating islands, but the ones from Retail Sims as-is are mid 2000s cc-ish. So I edited the shit out of them against the site’s tos to my preference. I fixed a seam on one of the meshes, retextured the grass (and made recolors), slaved the grass on island 1 (small one) to island 2 (large one), removed the mountain/crystal, slaved the rock part to Marvine’s waterfall-matching rock, moved them to the trees category, and repriced them. The only issue I’ve seen is that the rock is a bit dark kind of like when paintings are shifted down; I don’t think anything can be done about that.

I also made 2 osmps that have slots at the height of each island. The meshes are 1/2 a story up so they can be shifted up or down if you use the shiftable versions. The shiftable and regular versions can’t be used at the same time, pick only one of each. This unfortunately can be irritating if an island is placed on very uneven terrain even with shiftability, but there’s no avoiding some annoyance when putting deco on top of these. I considered adding slots instead, but I feel it would be a more of a pain in the ass to rotate through literally 100 slots when decorating (assuming it’s even possible to have that many on 1 object).

Grass textures are some combination CuriousB, Eaxis, SimsInsania, Voeille, and my own edits. 2 of them (CuriousB lush edit and the mossy one) are from my terrain defaults that I need to finish.

Enough with the mini-sermon, terrain paints for all but the sandy grass and the master rock are included. Some terrain paint files were renamed, so watch for duplicates in your downloads. All files are compressed.

 I should play the game instead of messing with cc. Here’s more Wachowt recolors. The wood is another one of  Peacemaker-ic’s, although I think it’s an older version. Colors are FurbyQ’s and Lilith’s natural hair colors for some reason. Files are compressed, and swatch and
the edit of Windkeeper’s 1 tile sliding door are included.

A couple of months ago, I got the idea to make solid Wachowt recolors after seeing some on MTS. The wood is from Peacemaker-ic and the wicker is (I think) from Webtreats. Colors are  AlfredAskew ‘s heartwoods, but they’re probably a bit different since I don’t use Photoshop. Also, I edited Windkeeper’s door to fix the glass subset to be recolorable. All files are compressed and swatch is included.

3t2 Pilar Tree Stump Tables Recolors.
 
Finally got around to uploading this. It’s my first uploaded cc since I started messing around with it a couple of years ago. I wanted a handful more colors of the cute stump tables Deatherella converted. They’re basic recolors in 6 wood tones (colors are from 13pumpkin if I’m not mistaken). All files are compressed, meshes and swatch included.

I’m a relative newcomer to TS2 considering I only started playing during the UC giveaway in 2014. I’ve just lurked in the community until now. I’m mostly maxis match and started making/editing cc for myself a couple of years ago, so I’ll share some of that and gameplay. I guess I'll be posting on here instead of/in addition to Tumblr depending on how badly it implodes there.
